The Quintara Story

Quintara Biosciences was started in April of 2005 by Richard Shan, Ph.D., with the goal of providing the highest quality DNA sequencing service in the shortest turnaround time possible. Being a former Ph.D. student at University of Wisconsin Madison and a post-doctoral fellow at UC Berkeley, Richard understands the importance of what DNA sequencing service means to researchers who use it. With this goal in mind, Richard has used his vast scientific knowledge and experience to expand Quintara Biosciences from its humble beginnings in a rental office to its current commercial headquarters.

Quintara has two account managers, two analysts, six technicians and three drivers running 24/7 to meet your needs. All of our technicians have masters degrees or higher, and they are well trained to carry out DNA sequencing procedures and other advanced molecular biological experiments. We have three Ph.D.鈥檚 in the company, and we hire professional consultants to solve a variety of questions.

Quintara has been serving research institutes and biotech companies in the entire Bay Area and outside California. We frequently receive samples from Europe, Canada and China. However, regardless of the region, we promise the fastest turnaround time upon receipt of customer鈥檚 samples. Customer service is our main focus. We are standing right behind your research to help you troubleshoot, explain and facilitate your project.
